@Call Me Dangerous Dave previous keeper confirmed they fitted it. It’s off a 172. PMS kit incoming then 😅

Restoring Little Bluey - my 182 FF ClioSport in Racing Blue

Took my original 182 axle down to a lad in the town to get it shot blasted. For £20 it was the best money I’ve spent. I’ve never seen a serial number on one of these before, they’re usually that rusty. The spring pads are in such good condition. The best I’ve seen. Everywhere is just...

Mine arrived yesterday. Hopefully I’ll not need it and should I have no further use, I can always help a member out.

    Virgin existing customer deals?

Finally i‘ll be able to say “up yours” to Virgin as CityFibre have now installed new fibre optic cables in my area. It means I have a choice of 8 different providers. I can get 900MB for £29 with no set up fee. I’m currently paying £36 for 125MB. Hopefully it’ll wake the chumps up and their...

    Rustproofing services advice

Have a look at the work these guys produce. https://youtube.com/@yorkshirecarrestoration?si=YweQitIXKhSxgIrQ If I was getting any fabrication work done, this is the level I’d want.

    Rustproofing services advice

I've only really used Bilt Hamber and some Dinitrol products but if a company didn't use those, it wouldn't stop me from using them. They'll all have their preferences anyway. For me, it's all in the preparation. Concerning areas that may not be obvious, these cars are showing their age now...

    Rustproofing services advice

I've always done my own, but I guess if I was sending it to a repairer I'd be discussing the specific areas that you want treating, what products and methods they use and what sort of warranty/guarantee they provide. I've seen a few cars done locally and they're horrendous. They sprayed...

    Tough decisions

They’ve got money 💰 😉 As above, if the cars all in order, you shouldn’t have a problem - price dependant of course.

    Tough decisions

I don’t think the person who buys that car will be worried about what time of year it is tbh. It’ll be outside of most aspiring Clio 1*2 dreamers budgets anyway. Stick it on Collecting Cars or similar publications so you don’t have to put up with the noise, or at least limit it anyway. Good...

ClioSport Festival 2024 *Save The Date*

I think comedy is like musical taste, in that it can change as you go through different experiences. Shifts in society can also make once-hilarious jokes lose their charm. I can remember watching Billy Connelly on the box and I nearly died laughing. My missus bought me the DVD but I stuck it in...

    Paintwork pricing

@Touring_Rob Honestly it's scary how much stuff costs. I probably didn't put my point across too well, but I was trying to give a flavour of what things cost to people in the trade. I still thought I could get a bumper painted for £30 :ROFLMAO: A bin wagon went down the side of the missus...

    ‘Bonnie Blue’ The RB 182

    Paintwork pricing

£100 to get a rear 182 bumper painted and that’s zero labour and cost of materials. That’s because I work for the company. I got a whole car painted for £1,000. Hopefully that’ll give you an indication of the price of materials alone before you get into labour and profit margins.

Cheers Mark. I had the part number but wasn’t 100% sure. Got one coming. Thank you for the heads up.

Restoring Little Bluey - my 182 FF ClioSport in Racing Blue

After changing the pre-cat sensor, I took her for a good blast over the Yorkshire moors on Sunday, and the car feels so much better. It must have slowly been degrading as I never really noticed a reduction in performance. I've done another 300 miles since then and the cold map hesitation has...

    RB 182 on eBAY

Any work, provided it’s been done by a competent/reputable person/garage is a win-win on these cars now. Unless you’ve got deep pockets, the less you need to spend, the better.

Restoring Little Bluey - my 182 FF ClioSport in Racing Blue

The only thing I began noticing was some hesitation when it was cold. You couldn’t give it any throttle until it had properly warmed up. I haven’t used it since fitting the new sensor but I’m out in it all day tomorrow so fingers crossed.

Restoring Little Bluey - my 182 FF ClioSport in Racing Blue

Ticked up just under a 1,000 miles in the last few weeks. Everything going splendid until the windscreen washers packed in and an EML light appeared on the way into work yesterday. Ran a diagnostic and it looked like the pre-cat lambda was having a wobbler. I’d already replaced the post-cat...
