@Dr Jekyll do you have any recommendations for protection? I noticed your covers which i may order some, did you cable tie them to the show as well? What is the best for thread coating?
There is a free way to test the TDC sensor. If you have the car running and then jiggle the wire for it and it cuts out or something happens then you know thats the problem. If not its probably alright. Renault did change the design with a new type of plug so you can check if it has that.
They do indeed Steve, they do indeed! Hopefully all this suspension work will make a big difference, atm when breaking from moderate to high speed the car can pull quite hard in either direction and the back end wants to come around! Also when going for an overtake for example if the road is a...
Yer i believe they do so no worries there.
Don't you just love it when you get a box from Germany? To say im a little excited is an understatement lol.
Being off work is never a good thing because you end up spending all day online looking at car parts. I have now just ordered the Bilsteins and made a list of all the other parts i want to buy in the next week or so. I want to replace all bushes and suspension components so if i miss anything...
Well haven't updated this much, haven't had much to update really. I have been on holiday and training etc so haven't been massively using the car. Before i went away i did notice the battery and stop lights were occasional flickering away on the dash. With a bit of research people were saying...
The car is now back it was an expensive job! Didn't have enough time to get the parts for the EPAS conversion so that will have to wait for another day :(
The car doesn't feel right to me seems like its a bit vague especially at higher speeds and corners. I did hit the curb on Saturday by...
Yer luckily enough the belt never came off or the pump didn't seize. Got the car back to Chris yesterday and we had a look defo looks like the pump itself has shat its pants. Waiting to hear more today. What i am really concerned about is the fluid contaminating the bloody day old brakes...
Not good news this morning, driving to work and get a phone call from my dad saying there was oil on the drive where my car was. Didn't think to much of it, pulled off the motorway and the power steering pump has shat its pants everywhere! Now the car and me are stuck in bloody Reading! On the...
Fair play to you, i would of loved to do something like that when i was 19 worth a s**t ton now! It really does depend on condition, spec, engine etc seen a few for like 2/3k and some for 11k so big range. Im hoping to get a decent one over here on the road for 8k.
Well i love Japanese cars at heart, as well as the normal Skylines etc i have a lot of love for the Toyota Chasers. I was talking to my mate about it and he said to me if i didn't do it now i probably never would and then when it gets older and can be imported to the USA the prices will rocket...
Today's update is brakes, dropped the car to Chris at Beaniesport yesterday and picked it up today. Went for a drive afterwards to bed them, should be able to get a better feel for them tomorrow. On other news the car maybe up for sale soon as i want to buy one of my dream cars.
Car seems to be revving itself at times, i'm not sure if this is relating to the cams being fitted. Andy at Engine Dynamics mentioned that holding onto the revs a bit more was normal. I have just sent the video to him so he can take a look. I would appreciate it if any of you guys had any ideas...
I will be using http://www.pure-motorsport.co.uk/clio-2-rs182/clio-2-rs182-engine/clio-2-rs-power-steering-delete-kit.html as that way i can keep the air con. I have text Chris asking for pics to make sure i will have everything, I will post them up to confirm with you guys. The pump is going...
Thanks, I will get Chris to send me pics of what he has just to make sure we have everything for the conversion. What about removing the power steering pump etc? I have emailed PMS to see as i will probably need some sort of delete kit.
The car has developed a weird problem, it seems to hold...
For the EPAS conversion can anyone confirm this is what i need?

Yer as @OssPoop mentioned I will get them from Andy.
£37 each.
You can search via the part number, but i was the same. It wasn't until i was told its the same as the V6 ones so i looked under V6 and they were there.
Today has been a great day! First i passed my Microsoft exam wooo! 3 weeks revision and managed to pass, very happy with myself! Afterwards i stopped by Beanie Motorsport and spoke to Chris, he is going to do all the brakes for me next Saturday. Also he had a look at my PAS pump and we started...
First problem could be the brake pedal switch, same happened to me and it was a quick cheap fix.
I run the PS3s on my car and they are great, alot of grip. Seem to be quite soft.
Wipers are just bolted onto the motor, you sure its not the motor arms that are squeaking?
Managed to get hold of the spacers so that's one thing sorted. Need to either get another pump or come up with a new plan.
I think i might end up doing this, so much hassle with the current setup. Think it might be worth future proofing it. The pump hasn't died yet its just noisy and has a bit...
Yer i might give him a call, i just know somewhere someone has a brand new genuine pump sitting around! I will consider my options over the next few days.
