I'd personalyl chage the oil ever 6 month or 6k whatsever happens first but there no need to Renault warently the car so long as you service it ever 12k or 24 month by the approriate standards and have a VAT registered garage stamp the book and use Renault parts.

Dead easy to change both bits might take 20 minutes to do the dogbone and an hour to do the top mounts I'd chnage the bottom ball joints at the same time. Rust or stuck bolt are the problem the jobs dead ay otherwise.
