spend 7 or 8k on an Integra Type R and put some money away. Sometimes I regret spending so much on a car at my age, then I go for a B-Road blast and it's all justified.
those tax disc holders are a pain i put a tray under mine when i change the disc just in case...
Dropped the screw once but it got stuck under the windscreen between dash and windscreen, magnet did it for me.
they're crap, when trying to get mine just right whilst on an A-Road with lots of spray from lorries they cut out completely! had to stop on an a road cause I couldnt see a thing, stop engine re-start to re-set, crap!!!
36k is just the 2nd service on non Renault Sport models so shouldnt be anything major involved I wouldnt have thought?! Someone with 1.2 experience will give you a better idea though.
it gets better and better with time, 20k its really loose, 30k its even better apparently!
after about 1k you'll notice it more I would think, a lot of people will tell you to thrash it from new... but I didn't rev over 5k rpm too often for the first 1000 miles personally.
Enjoy!
yeah lol Alan I'll take you out in mine if you want and you can compare a 23k mile reasonably well run in one with your 300 miler, air box is noisy. The road from Stathaven over to Drumclog gets my vote.
hmm i just think that considering everyone uses 98 ron 'because reno say so' then its a bit drastic for the same person to raise the rev limit and to then bounce off the raised limit cause it sounds nice.
Floor it up a hill in 2nd in a 182 it sounds f**king amazing lol
what sounds so good about missing a gear change?! lol I'm glad mine doesn't rev that high, I like my engines to last for the duration of my ownership :D
Spotted a Titanium Silver 182 at the Stewart St police station in Cowcaddens at 12ish this afternoon, lady in her 30's driving. I was parking my arctic 182 as you passed.
Also spotted a Racing Blue 182 at around 3.15pm coming off the Switchback Rd Bearsden heading over Canniesburn Roundabout...
hell yeah they last well too, my original fronts lasted 14k, my original rears went onto the front and are now at 23k. SO the rears have done 9k and will go to the front and new to the rear.
they were cheaper 14k miles ago lol under £80 i paid there last time. They never have them in stock, they sometimes try and order u pilot primacys too when u say the size, they're dearer and not as performance orientated though.
did you have to wait 4 weeks for them to get them in? I ordered mine from Costco yesterday cause with 1.6mm left on the fronts the handling is a bit iffy at the mo! lol
