You had a cut down numberplate and gave me a wave going into Morrissons Car park. Only been back in Huddersfield since Saturday and allready seen two nice 172's
Its very sad when accidents happen, makes me think even more about how safe my tin can of a track car is as i dont have a cage. I do drive within the speed limits and save my sprited driving for the track, but it can be other drivers which drive too fast which crash into you.
Hope she gets...
My bonnet has a few dents and loads of stone chips so i was thinking about chopping the second skin from the bonnet.
I remember Foxy did it to his Mk1 but has anybody done it to their 1*2 bonnet?
Will it be strong enough with just the outer skin? Is it actually worth it? And will it still be...
Not sure you'll be getting 200bhp from just a remap and filter. it will have to be throttly bodied to get near that. or head and plenum and remap work.
Lovly car though :)
Oooo also you may laugh at the camera mount but it cost me £14 for the materials and the neerest camera mount for bucketed uncages clios is 150ish quid :)
I was going to take the brown sound proofing out but wasnt sure how to get it out, and it was getting dark at the time.
It will get "properly" stripped when i get a job, a lot of people make Ph1 172's and Valvers track cars so i thought i'd make my 182 a track car to be a tiny bit different...
Lol,
When friends (who are not into cars) see my car they ask why i'v stripped it completly. so i explain reason for weight saving and every single one of them says "well why dont you take your little metal tax disc holder out then"
Some things i just like to keep lol
Also my track car is...
Does any body know if you actually save much weight by changing to ITB?
Getting rid of the plenum, air box, and tb must weigh quite a bit.
I'll be getting bodies in the next 10 months :)
ALL SORTED, they are now on and the cars back on the ground. But it is far too low. It scrapes at 20mph :( and i dont have any c-spaners, FAIL.
Hopefully one of my mates will.
I think there is somthing wrong with them :(
You can see that it sits flush here.
But the next part to go on isnt big enough to meet it.
And therefor when the top part goes on there isnt much thread for the bolt to go on.
HELP HELP HELP, I'v gota drive back to uni Saturday :(
LOL i just went to my local renault dealer to ask if he could wizz my top mounts and when i went to start her back up the F***ER wouldnt start. Waited 60mins for the RAC but i got her to start again. Right now i'm back homw i'l get back to fitting these top mounts lol
