You will need the arch liners off the 172, or drill some holes for the screws in your existing liners.

Yes you will need to use those to attatch it. The holes will be covered when you rivet the clips on. The only alternative is to use a strong adhesive like Tiger Seal, however that will leave permanent marks on your car where it has been and also isn't as strong as the sideskirt clips and will...
