    when i bought my 172 at 18 i was paying £170 a month to my loan, £260 a month insurance then £250 a month fuel £680 a month just to run it, i was making £800 a month at the time leaving me with £120 a month lol. cant beleive i done it now looking back but still would do it if i had to go back...

    if a car such as ben's above is mapped to run it then yes their may be a slight performance loss going back to normal fuel but no damage will be caused. lol @ the people who "INSTANTLY" feel a difference even although the injectors, fuel lines and pump still have the old fuel in them!!

    check tyre pressures, 32front 30rear ive always ran on my quick cars but i run 40 all round on the dci for max economy haha upstream lambda worth a check due a service? check airfilter.

    it wont make 1 single bit of difference, i always used optimax/vpower though but you wont notice a difference. its RECOMENDED you use 98ron, its not mapped for it! take it to india and run it on there cooking oil and you might notice a difference but it wont damage it, its not a 500bhp turbo...

    well you know how i feel dont you like that feeling of having a complete minter of a car plus makes it a hell of a lot easier when it comes to working underneath as everything comes off easy peasy!!! like you say about garaging a williams, same goes for all the other mint classic hatches...

    if there is no specialists around your area get a renault garage to do it, they arnt easy and if the garage doesnt have the correct tools you will end up with problems. cambelt change from renault on them is around £600 ish for both aux and cam belt

    its JCC's mate from stirling dont think hes on the forum, hes just got it, couldnt keep up with the dci100 through the bends! said hes still not used to the handling so i told him id take him out in it but he kindly declined! lol he was quite a sound guy! im sure JCC will get him registered up!!

    its it coming on cam, just at the point where the cams are working at their best and you get a little kick at 5k. vvt just allows them to fit more wild cams and still have the car idle more normally, thats how you can have such a high reving power band but still fine to drive around town

    dont worry mate, if vvt isnt engaging it wont feel strong through the revs, once its up to temperature it should pull to 7000rpm without dropping off the power. it wont make any difference at 5k. although ive never heard of a dephaser "not working" they usually just make mental loud noises!

    thats not VVT kicking in at 5k its just it coming on cam, dephaser wont make a difference at 5k, you will just notice a lack of power throughout the rev range if anything, usually its just noise
