    no just polish it with some metal polish then with normal polish i use autoglyms super resin polish.

    have checked the bolts they are fine, will take it back to the place i got them from and get them to check the balancing

    got two front tyres changed last wk ever since ive had a shaking/vibration through the steeringwheel it gets worse the faster i go. is it the tracking or balancing? or could it be a loose strut?

    yeah just used really corse sandpaper to get the abrasive stuff off then kept going to a finer grade then onto wet and dry and doing the same,

    Mk2 Ph1 or Ph2

    go for a ph1 dude imo i think they look better and you dont see as many about as the ph2's. but depends on what you like. if you look at any ph1's make sure they have a good service history and if they have had the cambelt changed if needed.

    its all done by hand, using sandpaper, different grades then onto wet and dry paper using finer grades till the main scratches dissapear, then metal polish to finish it off. did most of it about three months ago just doing bits at a time

    Started polishing my inlet manifold still needs some more work but have spent a while getting it to this stage. with the cover on cheers gareth
