Before the valver there was the R5 GTT, again there are plenty about and there even older!

What should it be when warm? Mine varies around the 1 bar mark.
Also on full revs should it show full pressure on the gauge as mine does but someone elses i know doesnt?

Jimbo1 - Nah two of my mates are mechanics, they aint even seen the car and said they wont touch it cus there asses to work on! As for him doing it - i think he was plannin to drive it again sometime which i dont think he could it was a diy job!
Yeah he will - he drove it cause it was the only way he could pick up his girlfriend who was in a bit of trouble at the time!
As for the header cap thing - he lost it in the engine bay and had to get his car home!
This is all about my mates R19 16v.
Basically it started to overheat the other day and now the head gasget has gone. Hes a bit of a fool and tried to drive it for a bit and now it mis-fires like a b**ch. Does this mean hes likely to have warped his head causing this mis-fire?

What do you mean? I thought the whole point of filters like these were to take cold air from the front of the car? Any air in the engine bay is gunna be warm!
