If it's from a garage she should have some comeback for repairs / warranty in the first few months/ year anyway..? Always buy on condition not miles. Check anything you'd check on a 2.0 or any other car on the planet. As for price - have you looked around and seen what else your £2k will...

How on earth does that catch the calliper when its 3 feet outside of the wheel arch ? Sell them and buy some that fit !

IIRC you need a flame suit for one of those.

Strip it. Replace front seats with bucket type. Decent track orientated tyres - R888 / Federal RSR etc.. Coilovers if you find it too soft for track.. Driver training..... After that - what's your budget ?
