thinking about it though, if you did want to do iton the cheap you could use an MSA1500 with an MSA30 shelf with 15k scsi disks and then an MSA20 with some SATA discs (for the backup to disk and snapshoting). Then use host based replication like Doubletake (the EVA uses array based replication)...

you really need an EVA rather than an MSA to do that mate. MSA is not really designed for snapshoting and replication really. 2 EVA 4100's, unlimited business copy license and continuous access licenses either end. that will replicate synchronous or asynchronous and provide you with any type...

you don't have to have the free one anyway, you can have £300 towards another one, at least you can at currys and as its the same group i can't see why it wouldn't be the same.

well i got the sony, set it up and its amazing, great value for the money! it even has an auto setup on the speakers which works great, all set up and wrking in under an hour. well chuffed and games and movies now sound amazing! I reckon its as good as when i went from and SD tv to a HD tv!
