Hmm measure the bolt spacing on mine and it has the cup packs but my springs don't have the the red and white stripes. Did they all have that?

Do you just cut the old back box out and clamp the new one in? Is it as easy as that?

Mine broke as well...but then I did trip over it!! Have to say the motherboard seams to be a weak point on HP laptops. Both mine and my brothers had to be sent back to be repaired. Happened just after a year as well, must be designed to break after warranty!
