Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

I'm with you. I'm probably a bit stuffy because I'm in that business, but most "influencers" or YouTubers just aren't bringing anything to the table. I want someone who is qualified to have an opinion, but most of them are just rich blokes who can afford not to work and travel about driving...

I'm still obsessed by my wheels 😂 Really need to do some paint correction, it's swirly.

Haha, I remember when that all came out - there was a lot of shock around the Ford world :ROFLMAO:

EVO Corse in silver in your car I reckon!

Starting out on my own - cleaning cars for money !

I was talking to a friend about this recently. He works for an IT company and they pay someone to come out and do all their vans etc. That could be an opportunity. If you could get a few local businesses on board that have a few vehicles, it might give you a regular earner. This guy said that...

Definitely agree with that. They're just not special/unique to look at in the slightest.

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

Looks good that. PMS stuff does look good quality, and pretty good value. The brushed tips look good. Need some videos of it on the move 😎

With all the messing about with insurance and tax, you could probably be in a Ferrari by now 😂

    My New Forester Sti

Given how many of those shonky old Volvos you've had, maybe you have found it but just don't want to admit it lol. Fair play if you actually enjoy dealing with time wasters and trawling about looking at cars that are nothing like the and says. I can't be bothered with that anymore, hate buying...

    My New Forester Sti

Maybe I am being weird and insensitive, but what do you get out of all this? You obviously had to pay out for the car, but even had to get on a plane and fly hundreds of miles to get it, then sort insurance etc etc, all to flog it again in a month. Surely that's just going to end up costing you...

Would make sense. Probably fairly cheap too.

Brigsy's other cars - formerly kangoo 172 cup

Yeah definitely hit and miss. The standard Escort mount isn't the best design, but the Vibratechnics one was shocking. Made of welded aluminium sheet, which had just cracked. Later versions were steel, but it was pretty obvious that ali would never have done the job.

People seem to be getting really excited about these, but I think they are awful. One of the ugliest cars launched in years.

    The Cars Spotted Appreciation Thread

I think it probably depends on the car to some extent. The problem with most modern stuff is that it's so competent that you really have to be doing silly speeds to get anywhere near the limit. It's a fit frustrating if you can only use full throttle for a second or two at a time.

I think I'm getting old, because I think any more than about 250bhp is a bit of a waste of time now. You just can't enjoy it on the road in most cars

    The Cars Spotted Appreciation Thread

That's cool, though 350bhp may actually be too much? I wonder what engine they'll use. Awesome idea though.

    Missing Australian-delivered 172 phase 1's

Plausible enough that the model designations were slightly different. Wasn't the Cup sold as the Ragnotti in France?

    The Cars Spotted Appreciation Thread

A lot more than 10 in the UK surely? A quick search suggests there are around 200. Most are in the US I assume. I went to a local car show last year and there were 5-10 all there together. Still such a cool car, despite its shortcomings. It would be wrong in a lot of ways, but I'd quite like to...

Just another M3, this time with a V8.

Guess it depends on the buyer. It's got proper bits, but modified cars always have a limited market. May be better to sell some of the juicy bits separately. What's next then? This is going to take some beating!

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

Ah yes, I thought they looked familiar. It's probably the fiestas that I have seen them on. It's a tough one really. I guess it depends how much you value ultimate performance really. Obviously lighter is better but, on a road car, where you're probably not reaching the limits every day, and...

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

Yep, definitely a wheel nerd! I think out of those, the ATS are probably the best looking, followed by the OZ. I don't think dished wheels really suit Clios personally.

    Values of Nice Examples increasing

I'm definitely biased, but I'm with you on this. They look best in flat colours, proper racey.

    Values of Nice Examples increasing

I know this is heresy, but I really don't get why people get so moist over LY. I mean it's nice enough, but I really don't see what all the fuss is about. I wouldn't pay more for it than any other colour.

    My RB 197

Getting the handles off isn't too bad. There is a good guide on Clio197.net which I followed. You have to take the door card off (just a few screws really), and it's not too bad after that. I stripped the handles down totally as I was fitting new keyless buttons at the same time, which made...

What's your favourite car related YouTube channel?

Agreed. I enjoy Henry's stuff. He has his own style, rather than trying to sound like Harris or Clarkson. For reviews, his videos are usually my first choice. The young guy with glasses is kind of irritating and doesn't seem that knowledgeable.

Really love how mine has settled on the Speedlines and Cooksport springs. Looks just how I hoped: Also made an induction kit for it, as the intake sound is rubbish on a 197:
