if u reset the counter like i did the over day and take it easy maybe 70-80mph you could get 51-54 mpg on motorway long journy i was amazed. i done about 80 miles and the gauge hardly even moved. still cant beleave how well these engines work. ok this was in a 182 not 172 but still amazed.
i have love the way the engine sounds. when @ low revs its nice and quite but when ya hit the 5-7000 rpm then it starts to sound well nice. had a few mates been like wow that sounds good when ya thrash it. so it must sound quite good.
could sort some out but its raing @ the moment. best i can desribe is very little scratch on paint serfice and some slight rougthness to the rim of the alloy. would like to find way of touching it up.
i was going down a hill few days ago doing an undisclosed speed :devilish: and i braked hard and the car felt like it was going to go all over the place the abs light came on the esp light came on and so did the serv light lol. brakes smelt like they was on fire lol. o well i thinkl the esp and...
yeah would be nice to sort out this issue. mine has done it 3-4 times now. just hope that it dont mean someone cant steel ya car really easy when it does that.
please could some one give me any advice on repair of me anthracite alloys. i cliped a curb but it only just cliped the alloy and theirs small amount of damage. any ideas on how to doctor this??
Thanx for any help
i have had really good luck with a company called cambridge vms ltd i got a uk dealer supplied 182 with both cup options and the delivery was well fast. saved me just over £2500 i think i got it for £12500. i even went to the dealers to pick mine up as i wanted to see if it did come from them as...
yeah that vvt thing does bloody work well. just love the way the car dont pull that great to start with but as soon as you hit the magic 5000rpm then all hell breaks loose. then as you change up to second bang its in the 5000-7000 rpm range again, then 3rd then 4th wooooooohooooooo better not be...
i have thrased mine from new and it seems to go like f*** bro is macanic for vw and he said that new engines dont need this run in time. he even told me about the golf engines. they get them and put them on max revs for 2 weeks non stop from new. just to make sure they can take it. he said the...
also tryed with a stop watch and got the same times as the gps. so they seem to be accurate enougth. and i also heard that they had to stat that was the 0-62 time as i put the 182 in the group 17-18 range. then nobody would by it. as insurance would be a lot for a small hot hatch.
got me new car few days ago. heres what i done today.
done a 0-60 test earleir with a gps gadget and done it in 6.7 secs with 2 people in car me 12 stone mate 15 stone and 1/4th tank of fuel and 300 miles on the clock.
very impressed.
ok got me 182 today and wow does it handle more comfortable than me old 205 gti, mates mini cooper s and other mates scooby and also handled loads better than them. no body roll @ all. went round a large roundabout @ about 60-70 and it loved it. was a bit worried to push it any further. ex...
thats odd that because i tryed them and the woman also said add another person to it and it will bring down the price. so i added my mum with 5 yrs no claims and no acciedents and my qoute went up by £300 so it was about £2600 lol they even had the cheek to ring me up and say was i happy with...
put dog turd all over them. have found that to be a very good way of putting people off taking them lol.
hey you know what would be good is that stuff from the film jackel i think its called liquid cynide. where you spray it on stuff and if ya touch it with bare hands you die lol.
nope your main problem will be that if an engine part fails they could blame it on the extra wheel size. larger wheels create loads more strain on your engine parts so they could blame the new larger alloys.
hahahah chavscum. i stuck a burberry cap in the back of me mates audi a4 and he hates chavs. when he came back to his car after looking round the local town their was about 10 chavs and chavetts looking @ the cap through the window lol he was like wtf is going on. they turned round and said nice...
i found elephant to be the most expensive of all. by double the price???? cheapest was norwhich union and direct line. they gave me qoute of £1100 with no no claims, speeding offence and privious accident and on a group 16 car i.e the 182
i would say it all depends on ya dealer. if anything goes wrong with the car they could turn round and say that the wheels was the cause of the problems. i.e broken half shatfs or burnt out clutch???? but you could just put ya old wheels back on if their was a problem.
