Make sure that it gets a good checking over, looks like the rear wheel as prob been hit, make sure nothing has been bent as a result (may not be obvious just looking at it). Going through his insurance?
Why are you paying anything, was it not the mini drivers fault?
TVR looks better, but I was under the impression there was no comparison when it came to driving them? I have always wanted a TVR but I would have to think twice bout one of these instead, especially if they are so cheep to insure! With the front and rear clamshells open it looks like a super...
I would def change the pads as well, its good practice to do it when swapping discs anyway, but in your case I would def do it, plus they cost f**k all.
yeah, on a level surface unscrew the black butterfly style bolt. then stick your finger in to check the level. It should be full up to the hole you have just stuck your finger in, or close to at least. Mine leaks loads and the level is a little under the hole but don't think its anything to...
Yeah, I completely understand your argument, but then is it really a project? I'm not saying that the lightly modded cars look s**t or are rubbish, I think some of them look amazing, but are they really proper projects?
Think what Bazzon said rings true, there are a lot of non-project threads...
I guess so, I'm not usually to bothered bout what other people think, but I think the point of the forum is so like minded people can talk about stuff etc... it just annoys me when you get all the haters.
This is so true, I haven't been on here that long, 1 year I believe, but I noticed very quickly that if you spend a lot of money on something different or extreme, especially something different, then people slate you!
I admit that im not perfect but if someone has tried something different...
Down the river will look pretty cool, although you might get tight on space! The crown court car park is pretty cool in the evenings (obviously).
Wish I didn't have f**king exams, so I could come along!!
No point, silly money. I got a skoda one and I think it looks fine. Also it is less likely to snap! Oh yeah and its about £11.50!!
I wouldn't get sportlines straight away! Get used to the car as it is, it is pretty well set up. I agree they look better lowered and I was obsessed with...
Yeah, the no service history is an issue, it would have to be very cheap for me to consider it! Make sure belts are done and say you need actual proof, if he hasn't got any you need to presume they aint been done. I would want to knock about £600 for that alone. Means you can get belts and a...
Ha ha, there are never any about when you are looking for them!
Last weekend I drove back to Chester, then up to Edinburgh, spent weekend there then back to Chester and then home!! Didn't see any Clio sports, I couldn't believe it!! But found some great roads and it was a f**king great...
I don't get a choice where I am placed. Might end up in Liverpool, but chances are it will be midlands. I really wanna be in or near gaydon, think thats where all the test tracks are?! :approve:
I will prob be about a bit more over the summer, thinking about organising a bit of a North...
I am originally from Chester, grew up near Tarvin, now my mum lives next to The Queen's School, but I am at uni in Leicester. I pop back whenever I can really, love Chester. Usually back for the summer, but not this year unfortunately, have been offered an engineering job with Jaguar, so will...
If you are not planning on fitting coilovers in the future, then I could go for a 182 ff (ie a 182 with bup packs fitted). But if you are planning on coilovers you will have more choice with a non cupped 182 (I think this is true, if someone can can confirm).
What people are saying is true...
Personally if you are considering a 182 of any sort then go for that, newer cars, so should be better to own Also with 182's I wouldn't get a cup, I personally don't see the point. If money is tighter tho then has to be a 172, bang for buck they are great. For me it had to be a 172 cup, I love...
Yeah, its the only one I have ever seen around chester! Although I did spot a Mk1 parked up over in Kelsall, near Tarvin, once. But thats it. I won't be about in chester for a while, but might drop you a PM next time i'm back, would love to have a look round the V! If you don't mind of course ;)
When I'm back in Chester I often see a blue V6 about, so guessing its you! Usually in and around sealand road area! Given you thumbs up a few times! Such a nice car!
Yeah man get that bonnet down and it will look sweet. I have a 172 cup, standard at the mo.
I live in Clarendon Park, Welford Road side. What bout you.
There are a fair few people on here from Leicester area.
Hey, there was a thread bout this car a while back, was on ebay and the guy who owned it was claiming he had dropped 25k into I think!!
It actually looks pretty good, apart from the bonnet, it doesn't seem to fit properly.
Love it in white with the white wheels, think it looks like a proper...
