More rumours and stuff than you could ever want to know......

No-one really knows to be fair, they're either muddying the water or genuinely testing various different case styles.
I'm still happy with my SE :)
Yeah I remember the road tests when they first came out all said the same thing, the Civic feels a higher quality car, it's more spacious, has a better engine and gearbox (one of the best engine/gearbox combos ever in a hot hatch to be fair), but for driving fun it's the Clio every time.
Both...
Just upgraded my monitor to a 32" 16:9 job, really pleased with it. Not the most high end display by any means but properly immersive for shooters and racing games. I got a Dell 34" ultrawide at work a few months back and coming home to a poxy 24" 16:9 monitor was doing my head in!
If you're...
Yeah, good ones are on the up and manuals can command a small premium to the right buyer, but fundamentally that's an overpriced car needing a bit of TLC, IMO
Yeah that's expensive. I gave that for mine which is a year newer, 20k less miles, has just had an inspection 2 and VANOS rebuild and is rust free. "Full service history" is all very well, but if it's rolling up to being due an Inspection 2 you're probably in for at least a grand, so the detail...
I've got a GoPro I don't want any more, I think it's a Hero 3+, will have to check. Hardly used it, comes with the BatteryPac add-on, cases, some mounts, manuals etc and a memory card. Drop me a message if you're interested, looking for £75. Was going to stick it up in the for sale area but...
I had the same sort of issue on both my Clios with DS2500s, as far as I've been able to find out they're very bad for leaving pad deposits on the discs if they're not very carefully bedded in.
Thankfully no such issues on the M3 with the 2500s, at least not so far.
If one cylinder is running so lean as to cause damage because of fuel starvation shouldn't the car be chucking an "ooooh f**k" code? Or are those protections removed/wound back by the mapping to gain the extra power?
Genuine question, I've no idea, I wouldn't have thought a relatively modern...
Just to quantify that, I have two cams outside and one indoors. One outside cam is on the front of the (detatched) garage looking down at the parking, one is on the back door, the internal one is in the hall covering the front entrance and the path anyone needs to take to get to the stairs...
Re: Arlo - Just running the standard batteries that came with it so far.
The one that gets triggered the most (between five and ten times a day, 45 seconds per clip) is down to 22% after five months, the other two cams are both above 60% still but they only average three or so recordings a day...
I've got a three camera Arlo system, it's good, the geofencing is really useful because you can have interior cams which are only active when you're not at home.
It does have some limitations which don't make them suitable for every application - they're motion activated by PIR sensors so only...
Desirable big turbo model my arse, they changed the turbo to improve the driveability of the car as the larger one was slow to spool up hence laggy. That's the classic market for you I guess, worse = rarer = more desirable.
Common as muck, these crappy cars with s**t gearboxes ;)
Ref the DSC you should be able to get the M-Track DSC mode on yours as it's new enough, halfway house between fully on and off, it's another software flash job.
At this rate we'll have to get the forum renamed :D
Fair play to you OP, it's your money spend it how you want. I'm sure I remember people telling me similar stuff at your age but did I get the 1.1 fiesta, noooo I got the mighty 1.6 cavalier ;)
Yeah, I'm old. :D
Modified insurance at 17? That must be absolutely rinsing you, or at least it will if you do anything to change the power.
If you want a fast car, start with a fast car. As others have said there's a lot more to it than just the engine.
What you're trying to do sounds great in theory, and then...
Found the email from DVLA, it's from 2014 so maybe best to check nothing's changed, but here's what they told me:
It may be helpful if I explain that, if you are selling your vehicle to a purchaser outside the UK the following advice applies to notifying export.
You, the current registered...
That's if you are personally exporting the car I.e. taking it abroad with you. Selling is different, or at least that's what DVLA told me when I spoke to them. They may, of course, have been talking crap as their customer service people can be a bit variable but that's what they said.
Maybe...
You need to write a letter to DVLA telling them it's been sold and permanently exported. There are no forms for it, guess it's not worth their while as it's pretty rare. The new owner took the whole V5 in my case as they needed it for the import (was going to Ireland)
Today was quite the day, talk about everything falling into place!
I genuinely was not expecting to have this on my drive tonight, but sometimes the stars just align perfectly......
Oh YEAH
I love this car and have had a huge amount of fun in it, but tomorrow it goes to it's new owner.
It's staying on the forum, which is great, so I'll let the new owner say as much or as little about it as they want to.
What's next? I was very keen on the Focus RS Mk2, but to me the prices feel...
I had an E90 D3 BT for a while, they're really good cars.
There is some serious suspension magic going on in them, I don't know how they did it because it's nothing especially trick but it rides well and handles beautifully - on the right road you'll be grinning like a Cheshire Cat.
Niche car...
