    Is this flywheel toast?

Thats normal. If you can, get it to machine shop just to regrind the mating surface to prep it for new clutch, or the faster way, red scotchbrite. Check your main seal, looks oily.

    Gris Eclipse Phase 1

The plan is to take the whole engine apart and measure and inspect everything. I also have some 197 pistons, although I didn't intend to put them in this engine.. Maybe when the opportunity arises, that will come in too.. I don't think there will be an engine update anytime soon.. Cheers from...

Spark plug, 1 greasy because the vvt solenoid was leaking, the rest are as they are, I suspect water got in when washing the engine. I need to check the timing when I get the right cam tool, but to my eye the engine looks out of phase. There is no shortage of silicone on the cam...

How does the saying go, while I'm here, might as well do this.. Hmmm.. Took off the fenders and sills to see what was hiding under the fenders, thank God it was nothing serious except for the bent sill from the jack, a typical clio 2 flaw. Fenders have accumulated dirt, so it is...

Well now.. my knowledge and experience with engines is quite limited, so I called the guy who built this engine and he helped me alot! anyways, compared to my previous clio, where they looked like new at around 140k km on clock, these looked quite questionable, and then I removed the bearings...

Glad you liked it. I find it kinda special, although many say it isnt' "original" sport, because the chassis doesnt have it's number from the factory ( it came un numbered, and had to be stamped at technical inspection - the numbers dont match renault numbers, but are numbers matching to...
