From little of what i know is that it takes the reading from both sensors, the pre cat sensor works fine but with the post cat sensor not plugged in it cant read anything. The data showed a flat line and IIRC left on an open loop, when the car warms up there's no reading and throws up a...
A long story to this but will cut short, i bought the RB off Christopher back in March with 2nd gear synchro gone and a missfire. A 500 mile round trip to Bolton with a stop at BTM to pick up another gearbox and it's back at home. A good friend of mine Matt who rns Codered Motorsport was 1st...
Doesn't the 172 Cup box work with the speedo drive in the box?
I guess it depends how much you love the car to have it fixed. I smashed all the teeth off 5th gear and cracked the gearbox casing on my phase 1 clio 172, i bought another gearbox from Cit-Ren and paid someone £250 to swap them over
I always filled my old 172 with V Power 99 and have started using it in the 182. I never use anything else, IIRC the ECU self reads (someone will come along soon to correct me) but didn't think it would make a difference between 95 and 98RON
Im resisting the temptation took go down the carbon road (in a big way) I don't want to go OTT. Maybe a carbon rear bumper insert and bullets... That's about it, hopefully in the next 2-3 weeks there'll be some nice changes exterior wise that should look good when done.
The OE plastic fronter splitter had a section snapped off by some janky recovery company, luckily enough a 2nd carbon hand carbon splitter came up on the classifieds so i drove round to jtn 11 M25 to pick it up from Budgie (Mike)
Today's been the first day in a while where the sun is out and...
Dashtop does have to come out but only a 10-15 minute job
There's about 6 Torx screws to take out and pretty sure the plastic column shrouds has to be removed too so you can unscrew the Torx screws that hold the dash clocks in place.
Theres 3 or 4 Torx screws in the vents where the air comes...
That'll be why it didn't fit properly, new stat from Renault is about £13. Pretty sure there's a rubber seal that comes with it too. I bought 1 from Renault as well as a coolant temp sensor but havent got round to fitting the thermostat yet
Mine sits lower on GAZ coilovers, the wheels i've been looking at are an ET37 (can ask if they do ET43)
Only asking about potential scrubbing as the wheels are nearly £800 and obviously don't want to buy them only for them to scrape :o
I could raise the back i suppose
So based on this info if i were to order 16" aftermarket alloy wheels for my lowered 182 i'd have to make sure they were also ET43??
I then assume that the OE anthracite 182 alloys are also ET43??
A chap called Rick used to work for BB Tuning set up his own place years ago in Upminster. He's doing my gearbox and is decent on prices. I'm having my 182 recovered on a trailer to him tomorrow and get it back Saturday, if you want his number I can PM it to you
It's seeing the detailed pics of yours that makes me pleased I bought an RB, and tempted to go back to OE wheels.
Love it :)
Also, what sidelight bulbs do you have fitted as they don't look OE yellow?
I have the same problem, ive also taken an induction kit off to refit the OE airbox and inlet hose. I popped into my local Renault parts and he showed me the Dialoygs pic showing 3 brackets... 1 at the front, 1 at the rear and the 3rd between the airbox and battery. The front and rear brackets...
