I've not seen a thread with any footage from this series before so I thought I'd start one for everyone who's interested.
Here's some footage from Rockingham;

Only Sportline 1 mate (which I'm assuming is now called 4100?). It's all I could afford :o
If it was a race car like yours then I would have some how made up the difference in price. But I got mine from Cooksport with that good deal he was offering. Only £995. Think the 5100 are about £600...
ASTs look very nice mate... Is that front piston just RIDICULOUSLY big or is it the pictures!!???
Must have hurt the wallet a fair bit lol ;-) Bet you can't wait to try them out.
What spring rates did you go for?
I know what you mean, I couldn't stand driving mine home from trackdays lol and it's not even that extreme. I'm just a tart when it comes to long journeys.
Surely there's not enough weight saving from seats and trims etc to make up for an improved bump steer kit and diff through da twisties.
Sounds like some good plans for a 'road' car.. More than most people do to their track cars haha!
Roll centre kit and quaiffe I can't even afford for my 'track' toy lol! 4 pots are next on the list for me but will be a while yet I assume.
Your RB certainly looks good on circuit though.
Had a look around the arch and can't see any obvious connections.
Is it somewhere right up in the bay?
Thought I'd ask to save me wasting time looking around in the wrong places.
Cheers
Re: The life of... SharkyUK's Trophy [& Fred's V6]
Awesome news mate. Excited for you lol. Really want to see this in the flesh.
What a legend Chi is. Proper lad.
They look like they've literally just been done!!
Had some done at S&P myself. Came out very nicely. Never had wheels powdercoated before this though, so was surprised when I saw the 'machine resting' marks on the inside of the wheel and had to confirm with Kelv if it was normal or not lol
Off camber always confuses me.
What would the carousel at the 'ring be for example? Slopes into the corner so, on camber?
Aren't most corners off camber?
Thanks chaps. Ordered some this morning.
More surprised that I had been running for so long without them in the first place. The car came this way when I bought it!
Both sides the same yeah. Nothing stopping the top of the coilover bashing into the metal of the bodywork at the moment.
If they had fallen out I'm sure I would have seen them at a later date on the floor. The car hasn't moved for ages.
So chaps. Just checked the rear shocks. There's no rubber bush like the one on the inside of the car.
The only thing there is, is a 10 inch long plastic cover which slides over the piston.
This won't fit over the coilover. So what do I do about the missing rubber bush thingy? Paprika123
There was a thread on here a while back with a link to them for £87 each. So I bought some. Probably 2-3 months back.
Since then someone else found them even cheaper from another site, I remember specifically because I thought I had got mine cheap until I saw this post. Didn't pursue the new...
£350 on some R888s.
£130 on some cook sport springs + new cup shocks whatever they cost. (will handle better than cheap coilovers)
The rest on the pure motorsport top mount and brace.
Anything left will be little bits.
Or....
£350 on tyres, £650 on decent coilovers and do the GEO yourself.
Front stutt to hub bolts. I've done these up to 180nm odd, as the workshop manual says. However just seen a post from @Fred@BTM which says they're 140nm? How can there be so much difference. I know I'm massively over thinking this, but would rather get it right first time round.
Makes sense to me. I must have just missed it when removing the old shocks. Silly mistake but I'm learning lol.
So I keep the metal sleeves in then yeah?
Cheers.
