Ive got the strangest thought in the back of my mind that soon Renault are going to tell everyone with a 172 order that they will have to wait for the new model in 2005!
The mind wonders........
Just called my official Renault dealer today to check up, called me back 20 mins later, no problems, my 172 is still go for Nov 7th delivery (Ordered Sep 4th). :)
I should have kept hold of my 306 GTi-6 for another year Ben, only had 32k on the clock, loved it to bits, just needed to gather some spare cash at the time. :(

In line with what mitch asked about the multi changer wiring, will a November delivered new 172 have the under seat wiring there ready for a changer (in case i chose it as an option), and also if it should have the wiring in place, will the 6 disc VDO Dayton i have in my Dynamique fit this...
Very true Iain, hopefully ill be doing a whole lot more when my RSC arrives in November! :D

For what its worth, bought my 1.2 16v Dynamique about 12 months ago (52 plate) and has been completely rattle, squeak and fault free throughout!
Very happy (but just ordered a 172 cause I miss my 306 GTi-6). :D
I have enjoyed every one of my cars, problems included, it increases overall vehicle knowledge I think and when my 172 arrives it will be my 4th French car:
1 - 306 2.0 XSi
2 - 306 2.0 GTi-6
3 - Clio 1.2 Dynamique
4 - On its way, Flame Red 172
My first 2 cars were a 1.1 MkII Fiesta...
One lucky m8 Rich! Ill be happy when my 172 arrives in about 8 weeks, just ordered it tonight in flame red, was offered full grained leather interior for £895 but I declined.
:D
Ive just visited the Renault www and seen the following Personalisation page. Is any of this remotely true??? Full leather sounds very tempting! :D
You can just about make out a Grey/Green 172 interior, weird...
Well, if my 6 numbers come up on the Lotto on Saturday night, its one of the first cars ill be ordering! :devilish:

Me too mate, and I though 4x50w was pretty reasonable (not rms I presume). These Alpine speakers I have are only 5" so im not really expecting mega bass, but turning down the bass does help a lot, in fact its rather loud! Only got the rear speakers fully wired to the HU so far as I cant get...
Sounds familiar, I have a sony HU 4x50w powering some Alpine SPR134As (35w rms), I get exactly the same result when the volume is turned up (not so bad with DBass turned down a bit).
Also does anyone have experience of getting new front door speaker wire into the car of a 2002 clio? The...
The tweeter covers need to be twisted either clockwise or anti-clockwise before any pulling off is commenced, hard to get a grip to twist but they do pop off fairly easily when they have been turned the right way. Think of them like a lid on a child proof paracetmol container (without the arrow).
Ohh... I remember my first Amp/Sub & MDF Box I had back in 96, £20 I paid for the lot used including about 25 ft of wire, think the amp was a Goodmans, didnt even look what make the Sub was, sounded fairly decent once connected properly though. Bought it from a girl at Virgin cinemas I...
Im guessing the Renault head units can cope with a few manufacturers changers, so the individual dealers can shop around! (probably just the connection to the head unit that is a renault standard)
