Like al says . I use the microfibre applicators for wax and sealant , not keen on the little yellow foam pads as they are a bit on the small side . For polish i use either the sonus professional applicator...

I'd never heard of the bonnet catch problem until it was highlighted on watchdog . I think the people who have or have had any problems with the catch are the kind of people who never open their bonnet to do regular checks i.e screenwash , oil , etc ..... i would say most people on here...

Go to a local motor accessory shop or body shop suppliers that mix paint . The one i use always does a perfect colour match .

Its not just about the foam .Its how slick the shampoo is , helps to stop any dirt scratching the paintwork . My prefered choice is the extreme body wash n wax . Use a good lambswool mitt as well . http://www.chemicalguysuk.com/product_p/extrwash.htm...

The wd40 will evaporate after a while especially if it gets hot in the engine bay so it will let fine dirt particles through . Its nothing like the genuine k+n oil .

Give them a good firm push and they should come off . There's probably a build up of dirt behind them making them a bit tight .
