Looks good, funny im just about to buy a coilover kit but don't know what one yet.
Car looks good, where is it rubbing on the inside or on the wing?
Scott.
Hi all,
I want to buy a good set of coilovers as my ph1 172 doesn't sit low enough even on my Sportlines and one of my rear shocks has now shot its oil all over my drive way...:(
My dilemma is that i dont want a cheap kit or one thats going to look like they have been on the "sea bed" after a...
Well im 36 years old so not a skid kid, im lucky if i use the car once a week.
My plates are looking a little worn now and i quite like the look of the smaller front plate, cleans the front of the PH1 up but if its going to be a pain and end up costing me ££££ in fines then i might just get the...
Hi all,
Im wanting to replace the main dealer number plates on my ph1 172.
im thinking about getting the smaller front plate but dont know where to look, or what size to get.
So what companys are best to use and what type/sizes do people use?
Oh and is there any picts with them fitted?
Thanks...
Re: Namakubi Clio 172 Cup "track project"
Car looks great, top work.
Where did you get your coilovers from if you dont mind me asking?
Im after a set of coilovers for my PH1 but mines a road car.
Scott.
Im also after a set of coilovers for my ph1, i called Venom and the guy said about the AP kit but now ive seen this im very tempted.
I didnt want a 300 pound set or could i justify spending 1000 pounds or more for what i use my car for.
Let us know how they feel on the road.
I got offered the AP kit for 450, my cars not used very much but i dont want to buy the cheap crap or do i need to spend a arm or a leg.
Ive been offered a s/hand set of H and R for 300, dont know what to do tbh
Scott
Cheers all, my car is not a hardcore track car by any means.
I only use it now and again but was thinking about maybe doing to odd trackday and was also thinking about a Whiteline rear bar.
What other coilover kits should i be looking at?
Cheers scott.
Thats bad enough but in his add his saying that if the locking nuts seem tight then remove them and use plan nuts, adjustable ride height as you go......
Ordered a pair of front 25mm spacers from Venom today, they havent got any in stock so ive have to wait 2 weeks which is not a problem as my cars not used day to day.
Cheers again for the info guys
Scott.
I didnt think they would tbh but thought id give it a go, the kit he advised me on was non adjustable but came with a 2 year warranty and was only 450 all in and the kit that was adjustable is 690.
His got a set on his BMW Cooper S and said that the ride was good, which im after.
The KW V2...
Just called Venom motorsport and ordered some front wheel spacers for my PH1 172, got talking to the guy about coilovers and he said about the AP kit which have a 2 year warranty and are also re branded KW.
I have Eibach sportlines on my car at the moment so i dont want the ride to be crap, i...
Cheers guys just the info i was after, short, sweet and to the point.
I going to get coilovers on it soon as at the moment its on Eibach sport lines and looks very silly at the front.
DannyR if it ends up looking like yours in that pict then ill be a happy man
Cheers scott.
Ive got a PH1 172 on the 15 inch F1s, i hate the way the front wheels sit in on the front arches.
Has anyone got wheel spacers fitted, what ones are best to get and from where and how wide???
Also is there any picts of them on cars so i can see how they will look fitted?
Cheers scott
I was thinking about selling my PH1 but after owning it for just over 2 years its still only done 45k, it seems a waste of a nice car as i dont use it for months but the price i would have to sell it for it makes sence to keep it.
They are S/steel i thought, never seen a rusty one tbh. Its nothing to do with what material it is made from, its to do with tube lengths and the bore sizes where bhp and touqe come from.
As said above the manifolds on the 172 and 182 are the best and thats why there is nothing else available...
Cheers but i havnt got a clue where to start or what products to get, relly need a starter kit of some sort so that
1, its not wasting my money
2, i can get a feel to what works
