Difference of 0.3s between them is nothing really, the drivers ability is worth more on track.

Probably best to do a few breathing mods first then get a remap. I'm getting mine remapped at JMS next week, get in touch with them I'm sure they'd be happy to give you some advice.

No point in having a 172 if you don't rev it past 2000.

Best to change them if you buy the cambelt kit that includes new pulleys. You need the Renault locking tools to change the belt properly.
