i didnt think so at the time but i wasnt doing massive miles in it, my current one with the cat still fitted is much quieter, and suits me more now that im getting old lol it sounded brilliant when going for it though!
i like the gordini twingos, would be cool if you done a wheel refurb on them. i had a blast with one in the dci the other day, they go well for what they are!
no wonder there is so much bad press about clio gearboxes when people drive them like that.
why you wouldnt be heel and toeing down the box in a clio 200 i do not know, my GT DCi uses the same pedals and its possibly the easiest car in the world to do it in. ive yet to see a video where anyone...
these used to be good because of how much cheaper it was to map your car it made it worth while not going elsewhere but now your just as well getting it done by a mapper
when people think of a gordini they think of the blue ones with horrible wheels i saw a white one with speedlines and it looked good, still a lot of money for a car thats pretty much the same as a white speedlined 200 (or is it a different white?)
yeah no point at all, infact why even do a track day? lets just get silvervisions and bad boy floor mats. who cares about lap times as long as your indicators look awesome and your carpets are safe!
yes its basically the same engine but running a longer stroke. when your running as little torque as small engine petrols do then you need all you can get, it may only have 12hp more but the extra 15lb/ft or what ever it has makes all the difference.
again fuel consumption is fairly similar on...
yes we are, personally because im fed up of clueless people giving opinions on stuff they have no idea about, if someone asks a question and i dont have a clue about it then i dont reply to that thread!
its killing this place
id be going DCi too.
i dont understand why you think the 1.4 will be more fun and a tad nippier than the 1.6 16v??
we have a 1.6 16v and i love to drive it only problem is how much it drinks fuel, its worse than my 2.0 16v!! i had a mate who had a 1.4 16v and it was pretty much the same as the...
rep shmep.
standard looking 1.2, 2.0 16v under the bonnet, insured as a 1.2 with disconected bonnet catch! lol
be a hero like me and dont crash.
sorted
plugs, coil pack or leads. the flashing usually means that fuel is going down your exhaust, that will kill your cat.
£1500 not a bit on the expensive side for a CatD?!
flashing usually means its miss firing and sending unburned fuel down your exhaust damaging your cat, my first port of call would be plugs, leads and coil pack
we have a guy asking about gains and lap times and your telling him to concentrate on looks?
this place gets worse all the time!!
a quick search on the place and you will learn that yeah your not going to get massive gains from the basics but the added drivability makes the difference imo, the...
its a shame this place doesnt have more of a scene for engine conversions, i say go for it, will give you satisfaction! plus standard looking dynamiques with a mean stance with 180hp look cool!
