Assassins Creed 2 is superb but not on PS3 - it suffers from a fair bit of choppy framerate and the 360 version actually looks better

to appreciate MGS4 you need to try and pretend it's any good by - as you say - playing through the previous ones. You're better off watching a CGI flick - whole package must be like 20% gameplay
