I used the foam stuff from Renault - £12 a can :o 1st time I used it was fine but the second time the foam leaked into my head unit and rendered it useless!

Loads of young guys on here have Mk1 172s. Expect to pay around 1k for insurance with people like Greenlight and Privilege. Go for it, you wont regret buying a MK1 172, they are so raw to drive... none of this girly TC and other useless gadgets ;)

Mine just died mate... 30 miles from home as well :( Alternator was only 6 months old (allegedly)
