Awesome.
Simply, f**king, Grade-A awesome.
At last - EA/DICE have grown a pair. I was still concerned that they would cave-in to the masses and give us draw distances 20ft away - but it sounds like they stuck with pushing the PC version to the top of the pile. Faith restored.
My setup will...
Yes m8. But that in itself is a part of the KMS 'function' that I don't understand. Why does it require a minimum of 5 servers or 25 dektops before the KMS host will work as a licence server? Surely you would want it to work - even if you had just 1 PC and 1 server? On one of the American KMS...
The trouble is - when it finally does arrive, it could potentially make all custom PCs redundant overnight. What a great thought. :(
With everyone needing little more than a decent broadband connection, TV and a controller - one-off hardware will no longer be required. Christ - it's no better...
I get the following message appearing...
I haven't looked at all the causes on here yet http://support.microsoft.com/kb/938450 - but most of them seem irrelevant, tbh. I'm running Windows 2008 Standard Server x64 on the one I'm trying to setup as a KMS host.
Glad to see I'm not the only...
Really am loosing the will to live with this. It's a straight-forward function. Assign a PC/server as a KMS licence host. Apply licence key file for Windows 7, Office etc to said KMS host. KMS host liaises with DNS and any PCs on the network with Windows 7, Office etc activate with the KMS host...
I've had every title from both camps since they first launched. I'm really, really keen to see what they achieve with BF3 this time around with the developers claiming that the PC is the lead platform for it. About fecking time they remembered their roots. ;)
I've always really liked the COD...
I'm 22 hours in and 53% through the story. The idea of spending around 40 hours in total to complete it however, fills me with dread.
For one, I am completely impartial to the fate of my character now as he dies far too often. Swung that katana 5 times already? Oh dear, you're out of stamina...
It downloads as a zip....
Then extracts the following files and folders...
At a guess, I'd say that the Mac install is in the OpenTTD.app directory? Not sure on Macs....

I have to agree. I'd rather have some ropey-looking but functional inbuilt sat-nav - than the TomTom I'm currently using.
It all comes down to price on the options list imo. Some manufacturers just take the utter piss with the cost of the sat-nav options.

It comes and goes for me - rarely have I been so indecisive about a game yet continued playing it. At some points, it's great - and others just way beyond frustrating. It's still a MUCH better multiplayer game than single-player though - regardless.

Re: rise of nightmares - kinnect
If it was responsive enough and reacted well to your movements, I'd probably consider getting a Kinect myself. Killing zombies/undead is never boring. :)

Looks more like a software issue initially - especially on the Shut Down icon on the lower right corner - almost like its running in 8-bit colour?
The fan looks clean - is that a new addition? Does it spin freely to the touch and also spin fine with the PC on?
You've got both a DVI and VGA...
Try having 5.1 where all the speakers are within 3ft of you. Now that sounds awesome. Purely out of respect for the neighbours - I rarely crank them up high. :)

To be fair m8 - 2142 was a benchmark for so many features, that simply have been set aside. It just 'gelled' in the way it played for me - clearly, as it's by far and away the most hours I've put into an online FPS. A six-member squad should have been standard - along with the 6 class types of...
Like I said before CJ - the auto-leveling really makes itself known when you're driving a vehicle. Mash a zombie against a wall early in the game and its insta-kill. Try it at Level 20+ and you're having to reverse and mash them again - sometimes three or four times for the thugs. Daft.
And why...
I'm having to resort to that too. Just a shame that being a zombie-killing game at its core - that you should even have to think of such things.
It really could have been epic this game - seriously - a genre-defining title. I guess I'm just frustrated in the fact that 99% of its failings have...
There's your issue - not the licencing aspect. Running CAD on a netbook is like trying to attack the Nordschleife with a milk float. It will do it - but it's woefully inadequate for the job. Flog it like you suggest and get a decent laptop. That will not only have the physical capability to...
Ah, I can do that. The only issue then would be using those damn bloody wireless things to control the PC. I detest wireless for control inputs. I'll be the last human on Earth to use a wired keyboard and mouse.
Even on the 360 Bookend - I use wired controllers all the time. When I can...
