Mwm iirc made a low compression turbo 172 by using a 197 head to lower compression an fitting a focus RS hybrid turbo and focus st intercooler. Pm them? They may be able to help. Or talk to steve 't.trophy'... He got a ktec turbo kit. Didn't like it, so got rid and mix and matched his own turbo kit

Whack a vid up of your exhaust, the tips look better than the system that's on mine (which I'm yet to identify)

I got sick of saying ph2 rear bumper so I've moved to side strips :p Is it me or do ph2 rears generally look better than ph1s? Ph2 172 bumper > ph1 bumper 200 diffuser > 197 diffuser

Needs ph2 side strips IMHO. ;) Whatre you going to use on the inlet? Would metal polish and a cloth (and a lot of elbow grease) get it nice and clean. Not polished to the extent some are, just cleaner?

Hmm, my old 1.5 Clio used to pull away no problem in every gear... Never tried to pull away in higher gears in the 197, apart from in second on a slight hill. Can't imagine it going well though lol
