I wish you hadn't have said that, I was all for the dog kennel eventually getting ITBs,
but it does make sense that for the same money you get more power from a turbo or S/C.
I'd just be worried about going bang at some point, athough it doesn't seem to bother Toms S/C Cup.
It's honestly not that hard mate, just support the sump with a plank of wood between it and the jack,
then undo the cam cover and engine mount, then fit the new one and stick everything back on.
For the upper gearbox mount, support the gearbox in the same way, battery out,
undo the mount, mine...
LOL.
I'd let him off on that one as the Lotus Cortina is almost outwardly identical,
apart from the wheels and stripe being green not red.
It's a MK1 Ford Cortina my friend.
If I was 19 and had to get myself rolling, i'd be getting an old Mini with a 1275 engine,
it looks cool, it's quick(ish) and it's easier to insure as it's under 1.3L.
That's cool as f*ck, I was thinking NATO green with black accents,
but i've seen a few black ones over the last month or two and it's definitely the colour i'll be going for.
Cool i'll look out for the mag.
I think i'm leaning towards a Clubman, don't know why I think I just prefer them,
bit more of an aggressive front end I think.
This is what i'll be aiming to build,
although it may take a while as I have now clue what i'm doing. lol
If you remove the rear seats you have to remove the rear seat belts too,
I have to put my rear seats back in every MOT time because it would fail based on the fact that it has seat belts but no seats.
More than one MOTer has told me that over the years.
I didn't think Subaru would build a car that can't cope with rain,
if they did they wouldn't sell many over here. lol
Expect a few pm's from me sometime next year then,
if I buy a totally standard car i'll need some tips on getting it up to 300bhp.
So is a sticking clutch due to water down the scoop a common problem?
I'm pretty sure my next car's going to be a WRX wagon, but i've not heard of that problem tbh.
Brutal car!!!!
The new boot/wing looks amazing, i've never liked the massive wings on the back of Imprezas,
in fact it's the main reason I prefer the wagons over saloons, but you've sorted that nicely.
Almost everyone will tell you a rear brace does nothing,
I felt a difference when I put one on mine and other members that have full on track cars
have said they felt a difference, but most of us that have them can't be arsed to argue with people that say they do nothing.
Best bet is to get a...
It definitely smells unique, like a cross between earth and wet dog,
i'm immune to it these days.
I like my car the way I like my women, fast and dirty.
