RSTuner - Is it worth the money for a standard car?

Easy, there's a icon called write ecu and & one called write cal, click on them and it does it for you. Just make sure you copy your OEM map before you do anything, that way it can go back to standard if you wish. (There's an icon for copy ecu aswell) It all becomes self explanatory when you...

What have you done to your car today ???

Satin blacked the fog surrounds and speaker grills, fog surrounds look the same as they did before so not worth showing, but the speaker grills look amazing, I may have to pull off as much trim as I can and go on a spraying mission.

    Stickers instead of badges?

It's held on with two pins, pain in the arse to get off, I used a butter knife and some cloth to lever if off, convinced the pins were going to snap at any minute.

Your car sounds like a right party animal.

RSTuner - Is it worth the money for a standard car?

I've had mine mapped with the RST for years now, I put it back on the standard OEM map once just to see what it was like. Put it back to 'normal' after about 3 minutes of driving, felt broken! :dapprove:

If you had £1500 to spend on your car...

After taking off the cost of all the mods it already has i'm prodably left with about 5/600quid, so a very boring but essential cam/aux belt and dephaser service. Assuming that the car didn't need it this year it'd be, whiteline arb, polybushed wishbones & front arb, stiff shift kit, pure...

RSTuner - Is it worth the money for a standard car?

It varies, between 29 & 50 euros depending on what you buy. http://www.fastchip.nl/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&page=shop.browse&category_id=20&Itemid=26 I don't know where the rest of the maps are, I guess Henk emails them to you depending on your VIN.

RSTuner - Is it worth the money for a standard car?

Yeah you'd have to buy the separate maps, but you could load any map you liked into the ecu every morning. I once spent a day trying out different maps on one of the many empty DC near my house, parked up in ECPs car park which was on a DC between two roundabouts, went though a few variations...

    Starter motor problem...

I only have the relay clicking first thing in the morning or when the engines been cold for quite a few hours, also it only does it every now and again, if I leave the ignition on for 30secs it tends not to do it.

Re: Next meet 01/07/12 @ 15:00 I'd like it alot more if I got paid twice times as much, I might actually be able to be a functioning human being then.

Calling all those known in the colour gold!

Personally I think the plastics would look good in satin black as would the diamond, it would break up the gold nicely imo. Decent alloys, nice bit of lowering.....done. :approve:

    Clio V6 airbox

They're pretty much the same thing, Ph1 has two intake holes, V6 has one big one. The Ph1 seems to be easier to get hold of, but the V6 box does come up for sale every now and again, for sale section is your best bet, £12 membership will save you alot of time and effort when looking for parts.

    New Williams

That's the Renault way, add a couple of well placed 'Williams' badges and some Recaros with Williams embroidered on them, and they'll whack a few grand onto the price of a new 200 and boom, another 'limited addition'.

    MK4 RS Yes or No?

That doesn't look too different from the spy shots of the new Clio that's been photographed driving about, I didn't like the 200s front end much when it came out, but it grew on me. I doubt this one will grow on me at all going by that pic, but i'll wait and see how it looks in real life, I...

    Boosted Clio 200bhp?

'Here I have is a heavily modified Clio 172 which has been boosted to around 200bhp' I guess you could call that English, he has all the right words, just not necessarily in the right order. Tbh fair 170ish bhp is around 200bhp, in the same way that my 172 that produces 173.6bhp at the last...

    spraying my renault badges.

Or wrap it in gaffa tape, worked for me.
  30. DaveDreads

    spraying my renault badges.

It's easy (unless a previous owner has glued it in), lever it off with a flat head screwdriver by working you way round every side, you're basically trying to get it out without snapping the 3 pins it's held in by.
