Had a very similar problem with my MG (for what its worth) - it was a faulty ignition switch on mine. Easy to get to but complicated wiring!!!

Im thinking of maybe going for a mint 172 in my budget.... only thing is no anthracite alloys or cheeky spoiler haha.

Yeah well the reason i put my budget at that is you see cars listed here at £3500 ovno .... within a week theyre down to £2800!!! Near Temple Meads in Bristol :)

yeah i knew about the belts etc... seems to be pretty standard that people put that in their ads!!! I really want Petrol blue but I think i'll compromise on colour for the sake of price and condition Receipts are a must. Having problems passing on the MG at the moment as a) people are very wary...
