Re: iPhone 4/iOS4 Info (Read this before starting more threads)
They haven't done it the previous 3 years. Made everyone queue up outside.
It's strange though as the o2 site definitely said that you could pre-order on the 15th.
Re: iPhone 4/iOS4 Info (Read this before starting more threads)
Steve is a hero. Nobody else is as badly dressed but still as cool.
You'll be able to order one relevant to your network.
Re: iPhone 4/iOS4 Info (Read this before starting more threads)
I'm ordering from Apple.
I give my money to the organ grinders, not the monkeys. Plus better Quidco :o
Re: iPhone 4/iOS4 Info (Read this before starting more threads)
Ahh okay, didn't read the comments.
No idea mate and we won't know until people start opening them up. But as every network has them available, it seems silly to lock them all down. We'll see..
Yes. There will be queues..
Re: iPhone 4/iOS4 Info (Read this before starting more threads)
^^Yup.
Am I being blind? I read it and I still don't see where it says that you won't be charged, just slowed down..
The o2 site definitely said they were doing pre-orders. Definitely..
Re: iPhone 4/iOS4 Info (Read this before starting more threads)
Yeah, course they will. This is very important for the networks.
Orange might do it instore for you. Not sure Phones4U will have them..
Re: iPhone 4/iOS4 Info (Read this before starting more threads)
It'll end up costing you a bomb mate. You'd be better off buying it PAYG and continuing your contract..
You got a source for that dude.. I got told it was going to be charged and at a stupid rate that I can't remember..
Hmmm. I...
Re: iPhone 4/iOS4 Info (Read this before starting more threads)
You can cut it. There will be plenty available.
Or you can go into an Orange store.. "Hi. Please can I have a micro sim for my iPad'
Re: iPhone 4/iOS4 Info (Read this before starting more threads)
Yes. If you upgrade, you have to agree to the new deals. So you'd have to pay £10 extra a month to get you another GB.
How do you use that much?
Re: iPhone 4/iOS4 Info (Read this before starting more threads)
If you're outside waiting at 8am.. high.
If you're going to wing it and go in at lunch.. low.
Re: iPhone 4/iOS4 Info (Read this before starting more threads)
Spot on. People are panicking 'oh noes. Nasty o2 man took away teh unlimtedz' but in reality, it won't make a difference to many people at all. As usual, they just want to moan.
Wifi is yours to do as you wish. This is 'outside...
Re: iPhone 4/iOS4 Info (Read this before starting more threads)
Well they aren't going to charge you anything extra until Oct1st as that's a gratis period so to speak.
If you go over you can buy an extra 500MB for £5 or 1GB extra for £10 a month.
Re: iPhone 4/iOS4 Info (Read this before starting more threads)
Nobody knows for certain. But it seems very likely.
500MB is big. I very much doubt you'll hit that.
Settings > General > Useage and you'll see what you've used since you had the phone..
Well I'm guessing you're doing this before the new iPhone comes?
So just write down the important numbers. Chinese. Taxi. Work for phoning in sick etc and just cope. Then restore from a backup with your 4 and you're good to go..
Your main problem is how to get them onto the new phone.
Start > Accessories > Address book.
You can put them all there. How you're going to get them onto the SE I have no idea..
Re: iPhone 4/iOS4 Info (Read this before starting more threads)
Mine was pretty much mint and I had that from day1 with a case. It had a small scratch on the screen, but I don't like the cases as mine lives in a dock, so they annoy me.
Just called o2 to take off my web bolt on thing as I don't...
Re: iPhone 4/iOS4 Info (Read this before starting more threads)
I think so. Give them a call. I know they do Blackberry data slightly differently but I can't see it being a problem.
Re: iPhone 4/iOS4 Info (Read this before starting more threads)
Yeah, but you're only going to get that special rate to pay off your contract if you stay with o2. They have so many iPhone customers already, it doesn't matter if a few leave.
All the contracts will be as equally s**t...
