I know what you mean. I like the idea of PC'ing untill i do it. Very tiresome etc, much prefer finishing by hand (so to speak :o ) but as we both know impossible to get good results on black :(
You wont spank a 172. My mate had one on demo for a weekend (which i drove, and loved may i add). We had plenty of runs to compare them Against my (at the time standard 182) it was pretty much even, i *may* have just nudged it to be fair.
Only thing i'd have to change is the lamps, for the ones with black surrounds. I'm sriously considering come late spring............
White, Recaros, NO A/C, and not the speedlines. Think i'd stick with the standard 197 cup chassis alloys tbh
Well i use the PC, (porter cable) as probably most do on here. I tend to use the Intensive polish on the sonus yellow bad, as this has more 'bite' for swirl marks etc. One i've done that, i follow up with Final finish on a sonus white pad. Gives fantastic results on black, which is probably the...
exactly, now black..........................................
That car is stunning!!! Exactly the spec i'd have bar the alloys. Just noticed the centre caps dont match the wheel colour?
Front around 12mm (10mm lower than a cupped 182, which is 3mm lower than an uncupped version)
Remember if you were going to fit it, you'd also need new 182 cup/trophy/cup-packed hubs. These have a 60mm boltspacing on the hub, which is different to 172's.
The red one is x 1 resistor and fuse for the airbag. Unfortuantley you need 2!!!! Dont get 2 with a momo boss kit for some reason? The black one i have no idea though?
