could be........ ill check that cos its had a rear silencer under warranty by the previous owner, which has been fitted by reno, and surprise surprise, blows on the joint.... could be that the box is not sittig right, ill have alook! its bloody embarrasing when it happens though :(
got a bit of a funny noise (whats new) happening on me 172 cup...
driving normally or giving it a caining, its fine through all speeds, but when locking round a tight right hand bend at low speed (u-turn) type move, i get a funny noise that deffo comes from the rear, its not a clunk, sounds...
who drives hard in the rain though, thats just stupid in the first place, no driver aid will save you then, you will have more risk of aquaplaning than locking up in these conditions, its the drivers fault if the car locks up, NOT the cars!
ps im a real man as i have a cup ;)
i think you have 30 seconds or so after first turning on the ignition, you press the trip thing on your clocks, this will then give you you read out, very posh :D
cheers, the front has deffo dropped, i was just concerend about the rears, but from reading the above im not the only one to experiance this

can any boys or girls do me a favour and measure how far it is from the lip of the wheel arch to the floor on you STANDARD 172 cup...
unless anybody knows renos figures
just lowered mine on eibachs -30mm and not conviced its any lower at all!

when ever im at a relativly low speed, and put on full lock (eg u-turn type move) i have a bad clunk from underneath the pedal area, any body heard of this etc??

mine is also rattling like an absolute fcuker from the boot area (172 cup),
sounds like the boot is open, but it isnt, im tearin me hair out, any thoughts??!!
id imagine the panel would do the same job as a viper, but at a fraction of the cost, but sayin that, the vts boys swear by the viper/green kits, is it really worth the extra outlay, how do these cars respond to these kits :confused:

after being a punto gt owner for nearly 3 yrs, im now picking up my 52 plate 172 cup :) cant wait
its compleatly standard at the mo with 30 thou on the clock, seemed to handle really well compeared to the punto!
as its christmas, im thinking of some kind of filter to buy, maybe to...

what do these clios have top speed wise? me punto aint bat but the 8 vavler just sounds like its going to blow up near the red line :oops:.
clios pull from 5k nicely from what i know, but as said above, what you guys gettin top speed wise?

think im gonna have to test one, i know for a fact itll be more refined than me punto, but i dont know if ill miss that turbo kick... are these things reasonably tuneable? and more importantly reliable? belive it or not ive had no major mechanical problems with me punto. Its pushin...
