my 197 is lowered on H&R 40mm springs, and the rubber splitter does rub on speedbumps and stuff from time to time... so yeah, be careful matey

It's just on H&R springs, ride is fine and the handling is much improved! Haven't had the output tested since the map, but it now has some much needed extra torque! I'm chuffed to bits :D

Okay, I posted a thread asking for advice on lowering on springs alone and have decided to go ahead with it (I think!) I've never lowered a car before and back when I had a 182 I was told it isn't an easy task, but then they could've been talking about coilovers. The car is only 6 months old...

I traded my 182 for a 197 and yes it is a much better car and more spacious, however - I agree that despite six gears it's still way too revvy on the motorway (I've heard the new gearbox is better). The 197 is not as economical as the 182 either, but then again it's a bigger car with more...
