You will need cams/itb's etc to hit 200bhp. I wouldn't get obssessed with outright figures, a good 190bhp will be faster and more useable than a bad 200bhp. Be much faster with suspension and brake mods (cheaper too).

Invisishield is a great screen protector. Stops a scissor blade scratching the screen, so shoul be ok with the keys etc in my pocket

Not a great difference in age, so I'd imagine the cup will soon need all the bits mentioned. Standard for standard I imagine the cups the better drive.

I'd be more tempted by vmaxx, or buy the kw v2's in the for sale section. Pricier, but f**king epic.

Just be aware that the decat's a bit of a ball ache to change for the MOT.

Put the money towards coilovers. Better to get decent stuff 1st time. Failing that uprate pads/discs/lines/fluid.

Have to lol at Germans lacking character next to jap cars! Just shows howopinions differ. I think my dysons got more character than 99% of jap cars.

Personally, I think a 172 would be better as a base car.

And a country mile better to drive than a TT.

IMO, if you have the chance of a cheap respray, why not go for a better colour? Viper green etc? Full respray? Ie door shuts etc.

Looks like a good one tbf. Cambelt is £400+ depending on where you go.

Not that I recall? The mk1's have better steering/ride/chassis than the mk2. And look a lot better.

The mk1 BMW mini is the better drive. The newer Cooper S has the better engine, but the mk1 is the better drive in pretty much every other respect.

Currently running 20% front, 40% rear. But I have my ride height relatively high, so rubbing isn't an issue.

But that's my opinion. The wheels aren't very nice, and the stickers don't suit the car at all. End of the day it's his car, if he's happy with it my comments aren't going to make one bit of difference to him.
