Yip... where I work (now and for the foresee-able) is a ****hole, and the car aint going anywhere near it. So Monday to Friday it's sat on the drive. Weekend and Friday evenings it gets used - if needed. Didn't get touched today except a wash. I foresee 2500 miles at the most in the next 12...

I did it with a MK1 Golf once... so easy. Car had it's wing tapped as an idiot reversed into me out of a spot - all watched too by a police officer lol. I bought it for £400... The cost to repair was £2500 as it would of needed a full respray... so the insurance company said £400 market value...

Sure do - was a bodyshop estimator before getting out of the trade full time mate... A wing, Bumper and headlamp is as stated £300-£400. For them to of wrote it off, I fear it's also a market value thing and if the bonnet wont open - possibly a front end rebuild.

Cat D I believe... I honestly cannot see how it's a write off - unless that whole front is twisted.
