You need to stop the rust from coming back . Is it bad enough it needs filling ? You can get this to paint on before you ,fill or prime it kills rust . MrBillyUK !

Could it not be the adjuster screw rusted and seized ? I stripped some rear calipers down from an 02 plate 172 , one caliper was ok the other was seized solid . MrBillyUK !

If your sellin yours mate try private rather than tradin it in if you can , you'll get alot more . One dealer offered me £4000 for my 51 plate full fat 172 , very good condition . I got £5900 private through autotrader . Still some good prices for 12 months old or less just keep lookin ...

I'm not sure that the 197 will have that much effect on prices on 182 /172 's . Its a completely different car , looks wise , the performance isn't that great considering the rumour of it going to be able to hit 150mph were as its only got a top speed of 134mph . Imo i think that the majority...

I had a powerflow exhaust on my old 172 , looked exactly like the original renault exhaust . Stainless , cat back £270 fitted .Sounded good as well :) You can choose what back box you want , how loud you want it . You might see a couple of bhp over standard but won't make any noticeable...

You had the cam belt and aux belt changed for £350 , pretty cheap i'd say . Renault in Preston charge over £400 just for the cam belt . MrBillyUK !

Quite a few people seem to have the grp n ecu , probably better if you get it set up on their rollin road tho rather than just fit it yourself then its specific to your car , your mods etc ... MrBillyUK !

You'd be wasting your money on a Toad ai606 if you already have an immobiliser . I have the Toad A850T 2.1 upgrade , Cat 1 , second one i've had , never had a problem :) MrBillyUK !
