The dampers are worthwhile wether youre driving at 10mph or 110mph, the ride is very good. Youve got the handling benefits youd get from running coilovers but with a ride that is far superior to even the standard 172 cup suspension.
Its fantastic, couldnt be happier with it. The magazine reviews sum it up perfectly for me. Still cant believe just how effortlessly it goes round bends. Im looking forward to getting it on the track now.
It does seem to grab peoples attention. Im noticing passengers of other cars looking...
^^ Yeah, ive just found the same. Neither my Connects2 CD changer interface or my new InCarTec Remote / Display interface will work on the 2005 clio.
Did you get the InCarTec one Lee?
Hi Paul, welcome to the club. Ill be at Brands on the 19th as will a few others from here.
1. Would be a good idea to use your old tyres on the track rather than ruin your new ones (presuming its dry that is). Provided you have your old tyres on a separate set of wheels, you can swap them...
Yeah, its very odd. You can connect it fine, thats no the problem, but it must be a software / firmware thing somewhere. There are some minor differences in what is shown on the display and the way the unit functions over the one in the 172 so somethings changed on them internally.
Connects2...
So i have found, seriously annoying. I have a Dension hard disc MP3 player which worked with the standard OEM unit in my 172 with a Connects2 CD changer adaptor (the mp3 player uses a Sony CD changer interface).
Since getting the Trophy this doesnt work any more on the 2005 OEM head units...
Theres no point in buying the Trophy if you want to change the suspension.
Its been set up properly by people who know what they are doing, no point in just sticking a set of lowering springs on the thing and stuffing up the handling.
You dont put stuff in it as such, you put stuff underneath it. It should be elasticated, so it stretches over whatever you have in the boot and holds it firmly in place against the boot floor.
As Day said, it kept a couple of helmets, ruck sacks, first aid kit, camera equipment, bottles of...
Just to clarify, we havent been banned from the forest at all. I was just asked to make sure that everyone is aware of the speed limits and need for extreme care when driving through the forest.
As far as im aware there was no racing going on whatsoever, and personally I was not ragging my 1...
LOL, cheers mate  :p
xTreme: All I can say is it is so much better that my 172, in just about every way.
Unless you drive a Trophy you wont understand. Sadly the main reason for buying one keeps being overlooked. Theres no point buying one just for the seats/wheels/colour imo, for me...
Presumably the sensor is on the other side on the european Clio, otherwise theyd need to route the cable differently and possibly a longer cable, so both mirrors have the hole. :p
Jesus, just looked on Dialogys: 77 00 773 858 EXT TEMP SENSOR 63.29
How much!!
