I take it you swapped the original home button over? I’d be taking it apart and checking the connection either way.

That sounds ridiculously meaty! Bit much for a daily though, ideally you want a bit of a rumble that only sounds offensive when you want it to.

My car had trendlines when I bought it, was one of the few that had them specced from new. They were getting battered by my kids, the bases needed replacing and the leather started to split. They got sold and replaced with a low mileage standard interior. Sooo much more comfortable.

OE leads are pretty good on these tbf. I replaced mine along with coil pack and injectors last year.

I’ve got the Arcan one from Costco, quality bit of kit.

They’re definitely better with coilovers, but I also have a lot of speed humps to negotiate. Personally, I’ve been there before with having to avoid certain roads etc.

Mine is on cup shocks and sportlines. I sometimes think it could do with being lower, but I also like how it rides our amazingly smooth roads ?

What rear bench has it got in it? Definitely not the original as they don’t have headrests.

I fitted a “fatty” style kit to mine and have since changed it for a phase 1 airbox. Still get some nice noises but less in your face, I have no idea what’s better performance wise though.

AFAIK the Phase 2 172’s use the same drive shafts as the 182’s. The 172 Cup is different. All 182’s have the same ones, it’s just the hubs & bearings that are different.

Yep, only 172 Cups came without ABS. 182 Cups don’t have auto wipers or lights, due to lack of xenons. Throw a set of nightbreakers in the standard lights and they’re more than up to the job IMO.

182 Cups do, you can see the button on the heater panel. Also, have they done anything about the advisories from the MOT?

What do you mean about the AC? Has it been removed? Looks tidy enough, but strong money for a car that needs the belts doing.

Only 3 bolts on them, I’ve ordered some Lemforder ones so will do both sides. Trickiest part is getting the ball joint out of the hub, but a ball joint splitter (or hammer) will make easy work of it. I also gave both sides a good soaking in penetrating oil today and will do it again before...

Replaced the dephaser solenoid seal and changed the oil. Then I put a new rear number plate light assembly in and some new clips in the front grille. I also noticed the drivers side lower ball joint is knackered, a job for next weekend.

After a lot of head scratching I went with one from Ktec, they’re the only place I’m aware of that sells the genuine ones. They must use whoever used to supply them to Renault.

As @NorthloopCup said, the only difference on 182 cup packs are the ABS rings. I checked, double checked, and then rechecked it all again before ordering a shaft for mine ?

Mine is on sportlines. Sometimes I want it lower, but it generally looks alright I think.

These must be getting pretty rare now. Proper engine though, is it the same 1.9 lump that was in the 306? They used to make some nice turbo noises with a decat.
