they just crack over time, due to heat, dirt, weathering etc. bit annoying that u have to buy a whole new drive shaft though. oh wel

wheel off (19mm bolts) Disconnect hub from strut (2x 18mm bolts) remove hub nut (30mm) knock drive shaft out from the hub then pull out from the gearbox. if its the n/s shaft ur doing then u will need to drop the box oil. Have u managed to find just the ring then? i no renault dont supply...
