182 Rims luckily have the paint code for both the silver and grey on the reverse of the centre cap. Has anyone checked the 172 centre cap for a paint code?
Also is there a chance the 172 rims maybe the same colour as the non cup 182 rims?

I wish mine had been now, took me 3 attempts to get the back plate on mine at the weekend and be happy with it!
All depends on the dealer as to how they where done really. I asked them not to screw mine on as I dint trust them.
The rotary spindle just spins, where as the PC head spins, but the spindle occealates to make it impossible to put pressure on the pad in one spot for to long.
If you push down on the rotary it will not lose any speed and just keep biting into the paint, the PC motor will bog and slow down if...

I also find it wasy to clay with soapy water on wet panels as it seems to allow the clay to glide more easily due to the amount of water on the panel.
It just seems a waste of Quick Detailer when soapy water works just aswell, plus I clay the car when it is still wet after rinsing.
You can easily use loads of QD claying a car that could be better used in a more productive way.
The standard Mac airport card will be fine.

Really? Looks wise you wont notice anything.
But the paint will feel perfectly smooth like glass with no bits attached to it. Waxes and polishes will go on so much easier afterwards.
You need to clay after washing, and before polishing and sealing. A well worth it step.
I used the old clay on my alloys after doing all the paintwork on the car itself.
