Was I right in what I said? @MicKPM
I've been trying to read up on the timing procedure for engines with floating pulleys as I was gonna do our focus myself
They are floating pulleys on the camshafts and crank. These have to be loosened off in order to remove the belt if I remember correctly. Upon tensioning the belt, it has to be done with the the pulleys still lose. If its not spun round a few times, then the tension isn't even over the whole belt...
Yes but then the belt has to be spun round a few times with all the pulleys lose to set the tension, and then tighten all the pulleys.
I think its that part most people forget to do
If your due a cambelt change then cams make sense.
It would be the RS2 for me though. Buy it for a grand, enjoy 190ish bhp and a flat torque curve for a couple of years. Remove and sell on for the same money you bought it for.
Who told you that?
There's plenty of owners of them that would disagree. @Daniel originally removed that inlet from a 200bhp car. Think it had 197 cams too maybe
The bugs are really beginning to piss me off now! Apps closing. Chrome slow as f**k. This f**king keyboard keeps opening and closing. It originally seemed to be spot on, but it seems to get worse by the day.
My Mrs is having a nightmare with hers aswell.
Back when I had my mk1 fiesta a random bloke knocked on my door asking about it.
A guy commented on how tidy the impreza was the other day as I was changing the front headlights
Being honest, I'd love one.
Hired a DCi in Ibiza and it was lovely to drive. Auto would suit my Mrs down to the ground, and I could still have fun at the weekend with it. If they were cheaper, I'd have one
My keys are always left on the side. If someone is gonna go to the trouble to break in to steal my car, then let them get the keys and get out as soon as possible. f**k getting put in hospital for the sake of a car
