The 182 uses improved inlets as well though, especially if RS stamped. So maybe this makes it feel a bit more torquey as well. The manifold definately makes a difference but for me theres no way i'd spend a fotune upgrading to it. Matched inlets and a remap for pretty much the same money as...

That doesn't sound right, the Clio should be quicker straight line too. The Mini Cooper S Gen 1 were only 163bhp, power to weight of 143bhp/ton. Evo recorded the 0-100 time of 19.9 for the Mini and 17.3 for the 172 Cup.

Milltek would be my choice if I was to get a 182. Same spec Christopher runs with the removed centre silencer and decat. Sounds perfect imo.

The box on my 172 was a bit crap when cold. To be honest they're not a great box any time but until the oil has warmed up they arn't the most pleasant of boxes to use.

I'd only go for a FF with cup pack personally. It would be nice to have the same spec at least as a 182. Even the 182 cup had electric windows, cruise control, AC, etc.

I wouldn't touch a 3 year old 197 with 110K on the clock. You put 30K more on it and you'll be literally begging people to buy it off you come resale. If you plan on keeping it long term then providing its all sound then go for it.

It would be fine, people do a lot more than 14K a year in cars a lot less comfortable than a Twingo 133.

Twingo 100 times out of 100. Just spec cruise control and you'll be fine.

I could get 44mpg out of my 172 at a stready 70 on the motorway. 40 was easy at normal motorway and a-road speeds.
