As the title says i need a new motor and gearbox for my 182 (2004) hoping for a low milage one if poss. as im planning another trip to the ring (got back last night and im hooked). ive posted in the wanted section but need one asap. any help would be great.

thats ace thank you very much. so i need a new motor, i guessing the 172 motor is basicl the same as a 182 just different brackets etc..

I was hoping just bottom end bearings and crank regrind but that's past my knowledge. How would I know if I need oversized bearings etc..

Hi all my 182 has started to to knock, not much just small amount. I'm trying to think what to do next rebuild it or new engine I've not got much money so cheapest best option??

The garage didn't seem keen on doing that if I'm honest. It's a very good mate of mine that owns the garage, he said it will cost more in rank regrind etc.

Yeah garage have confirmed big end bearings looks like it's been run low on oil as the motor is leaking oil.

How much and what's the condition ? Any one know of a decent motor?

It's defiantly knocking just been to the garage so I need an engine. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Also need a gearbox as that's shafted to.

Hi all I've recently bought a 04 182 and it's just started knocking it been to the garage today and it's bottom end. What are my options sell it as is or replace the engine if it's the matter how much am I looking at? Cheers

I don't think it's the heat shield as it increases with the revs what grade oil should I be using?

I'm not sure it was done before I got the car mate.saying that I've been looking through the receipts and I can find them first being bought but not actually fitted. Would the noise be linked to the de phaser?

Hi all, my new toy 2004 Clio 182 has 127k and has started to tap around 2k revs them goes after that. It's so say had a de phaser done in 2014 but I've read lots of things about it being installed wrong. I don't have a clue what oil is being using in it but the level is good. Any help would be...
