Re: Mk1 Hybrid Project hmmm looks like badly setup suspension could be the cause of something that severe, or incorrect pressures? T1-R's are softer/wear quicker than F1's too, last time i had them the f1's lasted longer overall

nah didnt tack weld them, they were a STUPIDLY tight fit though, took some reet force with the press to get them into place

Re: Mk1 Hybrid Project has to be running 100% by the start of april really, as the first trackday is mid april.... engine should be in within a week from now though, probably not running but starting to put it back together......then the rest of the car once I know its running ok engine wise...

Ive got two/three JB3's......one ive just painted to go on hybrid, ones got a f**ked 2nd and ones a couple of thousand mile old from new on the blue valver

JB3 is valver isnt it? Does your's use the same box as that?

Anyone used these? Ive had them on the mk1 (running 172 wishbones) for around 1000 miles, and when they were removed, the rubber part of the bush seems to have moved/turned round? The flat spot was at the bottom when fitted, but has moved on all four. The metal part is where it was, its just...

Re: Mk1 Hybrid Project its not the metal moving mate, its the rubber bush inside...I know the metals definately not moved because a stupid amount of force with the press was required just to get them in!

Re: Mk1 Hybrid Project im hoping to paint the cage pieces, apart from the ends and where the joints will be, then touch up when its in the car.....mainly because the interior is bare and is being sprayed body color shortly, before the cage goes in so fingers crossed should all go good and work out

yeah, but the valvers spline for the driveshaft on the hub might be fatter than the 1.9d shaft's spline....dont quote me on that though lol, im 50/50 on spline thicknesses between the range edit...acctually i think the 1.9' shafts are thinner than the valver/williams ones, so no :(

think the hub thicknesses may be different between williams+1.9d

Re: Mk1 Hybrid Project not sure yet, ideally going to get the holes in the bulkhead patched up this weekend, so I can paint the bay, and rebuild the front end and put engine in next week........once the holes are patched up the cage can be sorted....just gotta decide weather im going to paint...
