@Smokey Wilson how did you get on with doing your own? (@DannyR may have been right after all.... For once?? ;)

Just doesn't make sense to have it done on a car that's worth probably £500-800 on top of the work done. Even then, your not guaranteed a perfectly timed engine. Have mick or Dan do it for less and have peace of mind. No brainer to me.

What can clunk on brakes? I can check them easy on the drive.

Still clunking. Getting it back on the ramp wednesday. Have had the dog one on and off. Can anything to do with the brakes cause a clunking sound? Is the only thing I havnt thought about but then it makes sense it does it when I'm coming to a stop, or slowing down and turning.

@N4TH4N come and have a go in mine. I need someone to drive it to put my mind at rest. Do any of yours bounce you up and down when sitting at traffic lights etc? The revs don't drop, it just judders.

Sort of still kicks. I don't really know, ive sort of got used to it. Induction kit definatley changes note at 5k. Doing just under 100mph in 3rd so I'm happy with that.

Change gear at 7k. You will be in front then :) On a serious note, they are just normal cars till you hit 5k. Loads of cars pull away from me but then 5k kick kicks in yo!

To be fair, it doesn't make a massive difference. Mine felt quicker before the map but was very lumpy when cold, which the map has improved a lot. Has the cold idle raised to 1100rpm and then drop to 1000?

@dann2707 have you got the track booked for yourselves? I might be up for this. Car is playing up a bit atm though and MOT time at the end of the month. I doubt work will let me have a Friday off though :(

@Diagro did you ever solve this? Just done a search for dogbone mount and this came up. My car just feels a bit "loose" at the moment. Needs a good going over I think, havnt really refreshed anything in 12 months.

Yeah, clutch is fine. Don't know if that clunking noise ive been on about has something to do with it.

yeah, generally. Mainly when your going to do a right or left turn and you drop it down to 2nd to do so. I'm not talking for 80mph in 3rd down to second. Im talking 40 down to say 20-30.

anyone else ever had problems shifting down into gears sometimes when going a bit to fast to do so? seems hard to select gears sometimes ive noticed recently. any ideas?

Even if you did bend ot back again, you wouldn't get the ridge in the middle to look right I don't think. Are there not any on ebay being broke local to yourself so you can pick it up? You could take yours off and give it them as part payment maybe? Couriers suck, ups have pretty much lost my...
