    750WHP Homemade Monster

F*ck me, that thing's brutal!!! Although why did the passenger bring his pet dog along for the ride? All I could see on the c*ckpit cam was it's fluffy tail flappin' about.

Is this a normal drop in next years insurance?

Cheers for that mate, never heard of them before, i'm going to give them a ring when mines due, just been looking on their website, modified car insurers and 25% off if you're a forum/club member. :approve:

Is this a normal drop in next years insurance?

    Lol, I do try.

Is this a normal drop in next years insurance?

Try Brentacre, that's who i'm with. Every year I shop around between Sky/Flux/Brentacre and a couple of others, at renewal time I play them all off against each other, normally they'll all try and beat my renewal and I go with the cheapest (all mods declared).

    New alloys and suspension dilemma

Well i've learnt something new today. lol

    New alloys and suspension dilemma

I can't see how changing alloys would solve the problem, the rolling radius and overall size will still be the same won't it? 205/40/17 205/45/16 205/50/15

    New alloys and suspension dilemma

Weird, are your front dampers in good nick? Sounds like they're sitting too low. Also Sportlines sit a little lower than Pros, so that would probably make it worse.

    New alloys and suspension dilemma

I've got prolines with 16" standards and never had a problem. I can't see how your tyres would rub on Prolines unless you're running the wrong size wheel/tyre combo. What size tyres you using?

I laughed so much I nearly shat.

I quite like the f*cked up green one, sort of like an alternative knackered rat look.

    Road brakes

Have a word with G172 in the traders section, his prices are good. I got Brembo HCs and Brembo pads from him, good setup for the road. They're meant to be a good OEM replacement, i've got no complaints, they've stopped me from having a few accidents.

What have you done to your car today ???

^^^Yeah, that's not working anymore. :dapprove: Today I put some coolant in it, as it's below minimum.....it's still below minimum, as I only had a quarter of a bottle. :( I topped up the oil as the warning light was on because of the slight sump gasket leak it's got. :( I also did this, the...

    Aftermarket Steering Wheel & MOT

I've been wondering this since I first heard about the new rules. No-one seems to know if an aftermarket steering wheel will pass, not to mention bucket seats, as the standard seats in mine have curtain airbags. I have no clue if it's worth buying an aftermarket steering wheel or seats.

    Standard or Carbon ?

Carbon, it looks so much better.

    Rattle can refurb?

That would push me over the edge tbh, even though I am a cheeky f*cker, no-one wants to hear it said to them in Terry Wogans voice. That sh*t get's in your head. :S

    Exhaust choices.

Just to add my two penneth, i've had a Piper stealth on mine for years and it's a bloody good exhaust tbh, the stainless steel's still shiny and they're very well made. Mines a bit droney at 70 80mph, but from hearing other members exhausts at meets, i've come to the conclusion it's quite...

    Monaco on Eibach pro kits

I've had prolines on mine for years, great springs. I think they'll sit a bit lower once they settle in, as mine's lower than yours.

Dead 172 break or fix ??

If it was my car i'd drop in a new engine, but i've had mine 5 years and i'm quite attached to it. You're going to spend £750 of your own money whatever you do, probably cheaper to drop in a new engine rather than getting another car though.

    Rattle can refurb?

I'm definitely going to use them, I think it would just be easier and more cost effective in the long run, I just need to source a spare set of wheels to use while they're there. I only have one set of tyres so i'll need wheels that 195/45/16s will fit. I can't remember his real name, but...
