I bet all the cup drivers having to drive round with the windows down in summer has a bigger impact on performance and MPG tbh.
AC is much more efficient than it used to be.
After reading your other thread I ordered one straight away and well happy with it. Might have a go at what you have done when it gets a bit warmer though.

£40 with VAT last Saturday. At the same place I was quoted £140 + VAT for a standard cup splitter lol.
I haven't got pics yet but my small one (splitter that is;)) looks spot on fitted in imo.
Not sure if it's the same for the door but the solenoid in the boot came apart from the lock mech with one screw and then just unhooked it. Wouldn't have thought you would need to take it all out but I might be wrong...
But I'm sure there are some out there that are and also have helpful owners. Just a matter of taking your time choosing one. Same for any good classic car really.
