Lols @ fhm models.
Cheap tarts iirc. Explains the smart repair bit. Cheap. ;)
We bought some solvent in mate so off the top of my head 3 ground coat and 2 of the xirilic pearl lacquer or vice versa.
The lacquer is like water it's so thin. Terrible coverage.
Fair point Fenn. The 996 headlights were warning enough.
Even when they do make new models, the cayenne and the Panny they are still 911's on stills or stretched. All's good with me.
I h'actually love the Panny Turbo S. :o
Alex @ Elite Car Care (the maker of said plates) pointed out that they are reflective, the do have the BSAU number on them plus the postcode where they were made. So technically they're legal as far as that goes but...
I still believe you will get pulled with them because of the lettering being...
Hi insurance is irrelevant if he is claiming from the other person.
He could be inside the car parked up in the middle of a car park with no mot, no tyres and no tax and it still wouldn't matter. The fact is someone hit him.
The OP doesn't need to worry about his mate or the insurance company.
I don't see the problem.
Every 911 model they bring out probably looks the same and the same people say the same thing including the magazines. I don't think Porsche are listening and it didn't stop Fenn buying one.
Tbf they changed the lights on the 996 and made a f**king howler.
Name's a bit s**t?
Oh a matt black DC5 needs torched, aswell as all that chrome wheel s**t oh and I couldn't care less what brand they are they're still chrome.
Nice Video though, the effort involved in making it must be off the scale!
Listen to moi!
Forget your mate and his car. Concentrate on making sure you have all the details of the person who caused the accident. The insurance has ziltch to do with you.
You're solicitor lawyer will claim on your behalf to the third party's insurance company, not even any need to...

I think Porsche are at the top of their game just now. The Carrera and Turbo should be epic.. then some GT cars?
Sorry mate totally forgot you have a cup.
Can you get a yozza stealth?
I get one and do the single cut out in the bumper with the 182 trim around it. I think it looks so OE. Hopefully someone can find me a picture of one.
I think you misunderstand. You won't strip anything back. If anything goes wrong it'll only be the wax on top of the afpp that will fail, not the sealant itself.
You think one of the best detailers in the country would tell you to top it if you can't?
Most of the time Jim uses AFPP on it's own, I don't think he has time to wait 12 hours to apply Midnight sun even if he has it.
I'd be confident enough to say after 24/48 hours of curing i'd happily top AFPP with a wax. What's the worst that could happen?
Trial and error mate.
Lols. He's a very nice bloke!
I think you'll find once you hit submit it's a white background, the reply box is pale blue, the actual post itself has a white back gound.
But thanks for your input. :)
Hopefully mate, hopefully it's still in good condition! It's off to London today for a...
Agreed, those Halford's badboys are a pet hate of mine on any car.
The final bill was around 3.5k. Bare in mind that the front end was pretty much done under insurance. As a full job without any insurance work i'd say you'd be looking at 5k for the amount of work involved.
Front Clamshell that...
Well guys what can I say. It's changed from imo an ugly poorly kept Europa S and has come out imo some of our bodyshops finest work.
Foils were fitted yesterday afternoon, it's crazy how much foils have moved forward through the years you really cannot see it at all, of course the colour helps...
